East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Giants have suspended wide receiver Plaxico Burress one game for violating team rules.
Details were not provided by Giants head coach Tom Coughlin and general manager Jerry Reese, who made the announcement on Wednesday morning after meeting with Burress and informing him of the suspension that takes effect immediately.
The 3-0 Giants have a bye this week and will host Seattle on October 5, meaning the suspension is actually for two weeks.
